Teachers Dormitory
(We urgently need your help)
Build the Foundation Behind Every Classroom — A Dormitory for 20 Dedicated Teachers
At Today B4 Tomorrow, we know something simple but powerful:
education only works because teachers show up — every single day — for their students.
They are more than instructors. They are mentors, role models, protectors, and steady voices of encouragement. When a child succeeds, it is often because a teacher believed in them when no one else did.
But behind the classroom doors, many of these dedicated educators are enduring conditions no teacher should face.
Their current housing consists of small, aging iron-sheet structures with flat roofs and unraised floors. When the rains come, water floods inside. Though they have dug trenches around the buildings themselves, the flooding continues. To keep out the cold, they attached ceiling boards to the walls — but the gaps became nesting spaces for bees. Just last week, during exam period, bees had to be removed after stinging teachers while they were supervising students.
The rooms are overcrowded and offer almost no privacy. The head teacher shares a small house with three other teachers. In another space, two teachers share a single room. Because there are not enough staff houses, some teachers are sleeping in student dormitories. While everyone is doing their best, this situation is not sustainable. Students long for their own space, and teachers need a place where they can truly rest.
And yet — despite all of this — they show up.
Prepared. Committed. Determined.
If we want strong schools, we must first strengthen the people who make learning possible.
That is why we are launching an initiative to build a safe, functional dormitory to house 20 teachers — a secure place where they can sleep peacefully, recharge, and feel valued.
This is not about luxury.
It is about dignity.
It is about safety.
It is about retaining exceptional teachers who are committed to serving long-term.
When teachers are supported:
Classrooms become more stable and consistent
Students perform better academically
Attendance improves
Communities grow stronger
A well-rested teacher is more focused.
A secure teacher is more committed.
And a committed teacher changes lives.
When you invest in teacher housing, you are not simply funding a building.
You are strengthening every lesson taught.
You are protecting every child’s opportunity to learn.
You are safeguarding the heart of the school.
We invite you to stand with the 20 educators who stand for their students every day.
Because when teachers thrive, children flourish.
